Inside Line Promotions – WORTHAM, Texas (June 16, 2020) – Nolan Zimmerman is undefeated on the young season of lawn mower racing as he led his sponsored lawn mower to another Lone Star Mower Racing Association victory last Saturday at Camp Shayla.

Zimmerman made his first start since his JP class debut in March.

“A few days before the race we had big problems,” he said. “While I was practicing at home the chain kept breaking. I told my dad we really have to get this fixed. Dad and I laid under the mower measuring and realigning all the sprockets, but the chain broke again. We ordered a new rear sprocket and some stronger chain. That finally fixed the problem the day before the race.

“In the heat race I drew outside on the front row. I didn’t get a good start and was chasing the No. 00x of Brayden Newsom the rest of the race. I closed in on him at the end, but couldn’t make the pass.”

Zimmerman placed second in the heat race. He lined up on the outside of the front row for the main event.

“In the feature it was the same with Newsom on the pole and me outside,” he said. “He beat me to the corner, but spun out. We restarted single file with him beating me through the corner again and was gone. I couldn’t catch him. Unfortunately for Brayden, he was disqualified at the end of the race for too many RPMs. Therefore, I got the win.

“I have to thank my mom and dad for their help and letting me race. Also, thanks to Chris and Athena at for their continued support.”

The next Lone Star Mower Racing Association event at Camp Shayla is July 11.
