Inside Line Promotions – ELDON, Mo. (April 7, 2021) – Scott Bogucki was in contention for a podium finish on Friday night during the opening round of the LOS Spring Nationals.
The SawBlade.com sponsored driver was stout every time he hit the track at Lake Ozark Speedway, which hosted the ASCS Warrior Region and ASCS Sooner Region doubleheader.
Bogucki hustled from eighth to second during a heat race, which earned a spot into the feature redraw. He pulled the No. 3 during the random redraw to line up on the inside of the second row for the A Main.
“We had probably the loaded heat of the night,” he said. “I grew up racing on stuff like that. There’s a few tricks I’ve learned about driving through the bumps. My home track in Australia used to be rough and gnarly.”
Bogucki’s heat race performance and solid starting position in the feature allowed him to battle for a top-three finish throughout the main event. However, a flat left rear tire in the closing laps relegated him to a 13 th-place result.
Next up for the team is its debut at Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, La., this Saturday with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour. Bogucki enters the event tied for second in the championship standings.
“I don’t think there’s been sprint car races there for a long time so we’re all in the same boat,” he said. “We’ve had good speed this year so hopefully we can keep that up and contend for a podium.”
