Inside Line Promotions – HOUSTON, Texas (March 8, 2021) – Scott Bogucki and his SawBlade.com sponsored sprint car team are back on the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour trail this year.
Bogucki delivered a career-best third-place showing in the ASCS National Tour championship standings last year and he is gunning for his first career title in 2021.
“We had a lot of bad luck and came in third so I really feel like we can compete for the championship,” he said. “It will take consistency with no DNFs and no provisionals.”
First up will be a World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series doubleheader this weekend. Bogucki plans on joining ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’ this Friday at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss., and Saturday at The Rev in Monroe, La.
“The goal is to make the show both nights,” he said. “Those guys have been racing and I haven’t been in the car since January. We’ll hot lap and do what we can to adjust. We’ll try not to tear anything up and a top 10 would be awesome.”
It will be his first career race at both dirt ovals and offers an opportunity to knock the rust off since his team hasn’t competed in the last four months. However, Bogucki returned to his native Australia and was able to get a few nights in during the offseason in the U.S.
“I think we did five races,” he said. “It’s always good to sit in the car. It’s been a couple of months since I’ve last raced so it takes a little bit of time. You get around there pretty easily by yourself, but racing takes a little bit more time to get in a rhythm.”
