Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (March 16, 2020) – SawBlade.com sponsored sprint car driver Scott Bogucki is planning to head to a tricky track this weekend.
Bogucki and the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour venture to Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, on Friday and Saturday for the 47th annual Spring Nationals.
“We had a slow start to the year so we’re aiming for consistency, we want to get back in the points chase.”
Bogucki has been strong at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in recent history. He captured an ASCS National Tour Speedweek show there in 2018 and has four top 10s in five races at the unique oval since the start of the 2018 season.
“To be honest it’s one of those places that’s kind of tricky. Once I figured out what needed to be done I’ve been pretty good. We’ve had good speed there. It’s technical. One end you go uphill and it’s sharp. The other is a flowing corner and you go downhill. It’s kind of tricky to stick the bottom to be honest.”
“It’s fun for the aspect you have to be really on top of your game of hitting your marks, but it’s frustrating when you have miles more speed than the guy in front of you and you can’t get by.”
Bogucki enters the weekend ranked eighth in the championship standings – only 10 points out of the top five and 47 points behind the leader.
