Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (May 11, 2020) – Scott Bogucki and his SawBlade.com sponsored team will return to action for the first time in more than two months this week.
Bogucki is heading to West Texas Raceway in Lubbock, Texas, to tackle the West Texas Crude Nationals. The two-day event runs on Tuesday and Wednesday, marking his first time competing since he earned a season-best result of sixth on March 8.
“We’re in familiar equipment at a track I’m comfortable racing so I think we’ll be fine,” he said. “I’m looking forward to getting back into the rhythm of racing.”
Bogucki last competed at West Texas Raceway in June 2018 when he won a heat race before scoring a sixth-place finish in the main event. He also raced at the track in June 2017.
“It’s a big quarter-mile track,” he said. “One time I was there it laid rubber and the other time it was racy. I’m sure they’ve put a lot of work into it.”
Bogucki has earned a pair of top 10s in four starts this season. His goal is to crack the top five and hopefully land on the podium this week.
“A couple of podiums would be amazing, but I’d be happy with a couple of top fives,” he said. “There will be a lot of talented drivers there.”
