Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (July 30, 2020) – Scott Bogucki earned his fifth top-five finish of the season last Saturday at Knoxville Raceway.
The SawBlade.com sponsored driver continues to build confidence at the half-mile oval with the 360 Knoxville Nationals on his radar.
“I have something to work from now as far as a base,” he said. “The one thing I’ve been super consistent with is qualifying no matter when I go out. That will make a huge difference to our weekend during the 360 Nationals.”
Bogucki began Saturday night by qualifying fourth quickest in his group. A rally from fifth to second place in a heat race put him in a great position heading into the main event.
“I just keep missing it a little in the feature, but I have some things I’ll try this week,” he said. “I just keep not getting enough right rear stick. Once that happens you ruin the whole corner. You have to be stuck to the center to have a good exit.”
Bogucki’s fifth-place outing gives him four straight top 10s at the track. His final tune-up prior to the 360 Knoxville Nationals is this Saturday.
“We’ll use it as a test and tune,” he said. “I think I have my issue figured out, but we’ll know Saturday.”
