Inside Line Promotions – SAPULPA, Okla. (Oct. 16, 2019) – Scott Bogucki is excited to get back to Devil’s Bowl Speedway this weekend for the 46th annual Winter Nationals, which is the next ASCS National Tour doubleheader.

Last weekend’s Fall Fling doubleheader at Creek County Speedway was shortened to one day after Friday’s opener rained out. Bogucki drove his SawBlade.com sponsored sprint car from third to second in his heat race and he rolled off eighth in Saturday’s feature.

“I got a concussion a month ago and a lot of people told me my seat might have contributed to it. So we put a new car together with a different seat last weekend and needless to say I didn’t like it. I never got comfortable in the car. My elbows hit the sides. I was miserable and the results showed. I would rather be comfortable and fast and take the risks rather than be slow and uncomfortable.”

Bogucki was credited with a 12th-place finish.

“You can’t get hurt running slow right?” he laughed.

Bogucki ranks fifth in the ASCS National Tour championship standings with just four races remaining in the 2019 season. The next two events are Friday and Saturday at the half-mile oval in Mesquite, Texas.

“I’m excited to get back to Devil’s Bowl. We won there last year and started on the front row earlier this year only to have brake issues and finish seventh. We are really good there and I put my old seat back in so I’m pumped up to try and climb back into the top three in points these last four shows.”
