Inside Line Promotions – DES MOINES, Iowa (April 24, 2019) – Scott Bogucki will begin his quest to claim the ASCS National Tour championship by competing in two events at new tracks this week.

Like many of the ASCS competitors, Bogucki, who was the 2018 ASCS National Tour Rookie of the Year, will get his first look at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb., on Thursday and U.S. 36 Raceway in Osborn, Mo., on Friday. The ASCS National Tour has not competed at Eagle Raceway since 2015 and it’s been since 2013 that the series has visited U.S. 36 Raceway.

“It’s no different than last year when most of the tracks were new to us. I was at U.S. 36 when I helped Johnny (Herrera), but that was a long time ago. It will be a level playing field as many of the teams haven’t raced at these tracks.”

Bogucki took the opportunity to shake down his sprint car on April 12 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, against the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series. He had planned to compete last Saturday in the 410 division at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, but encountered some issues.

“We fought brake issues at Devil’s Bowl and we have that fixed. When we did maintenance on the motor we found some things and we didn’t want to chance it at Knoxville. We swapped out motors and are ready to head to Nebraska.”

“The main thing I learned last year following a national circuit is to be prepared. We are way, way, way more organized going into this year. I’m excited to get started.”

Bogucki also has the comfort of having long-time friend and fellow Australian Jack Mccarthy on the team.

“We just picked him up from the airport and he’s just as excited as I am to get started. He’s worked with me ever since I started racing sprint cars. We communicate very, very well.”

SEASON STATS –

“I’m so thankful for SawBlade and all our sponsors for helping me live out my dream. I encourage fans and other race teams to use our sponsors’ products to keep them excited about sprint car racing.”
