Inside Line Promotions – HENRY, Ill. (July 16, 2019) – The SawBlade.com backed pulling tractor team of David and Janet Esteb took on some of the best Light Super Stock tractors in the region last weekend and continued to improve as they work on fine-tuning their engine.
The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champions Tour doubleheader began last Friday at the Jersey County Fairgrounds in Jerseyville, Ill. David Esteb drove Eat’n Dollars/Alky Edition to a 14th-place finish out of 17 competitors with a pull of 207.82 feet. Terry Blackbourn of Newton, Wis., won with a pull of 332.21 feet.
“The engine is still real cold on temperatures. It’s getting too much fuel.”
On Saturday there were 21 pullers in the Light Super Stock division at the Marshall Putnam County Fairgrounds. David Esteb finished 12th with a pull of 306.77 feet. The winner was Larry Phillips of Vine Grove, Kent., with a pull of 353.84 feet.
“We were the second hook and had a good pass, but the track just kept getting better.”
The SawBlade.com backed tractor team will return to action Tuesday at the Johnson County Fair in Franklin, Ind., with the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Midwest Region.
The next Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champions Tour event is July 25 at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds in Goshen, Ind.
The Esteb’s currently sit 11th in the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champions Tour standings for the Light Super Stock Division.
